NZSBA is currently an approved training provider with the Psychotherapy Board of Aotearoa New Zealand (PBANZ), and members who graduate from this training programme as  Certified Bioenergetic Therapists (CBT) will be able to apply for registration as a psychotherapist with PBANZ.

The Psychotherapy Board of Aotearoa New Zealand (PBANZ)is currently consulting on the Accreditation Standards for psychotherapy training programmes. Until such time as the new Accreditation Standards are finalised, the NZSBA training programme is “grandparented” by PBANZ as an approved course, and the qualification CBT is recognised for registration as a psychotherapist. Once the new PBANZ Accreditation Standards are finalised, NZSBA has the intention to meet these requirements, and if the NZSBA course is approved, graduates with a CBT may apply to PBANZ for registration as a psychotherapist..
